The Amazon Prime Day 2019 deals are coming in thick and fast, and one of the best we’ve seen is for Pokemon Let’s Go, Eevee, the Nintendo Switch game that serves as a kind of remake of Pokemon Yellow. For longtime fans of the Pokemon franchise, the game is a comforting trip down memory lane and for newcomers, it’s a nice, focused way to delve into the world of catching and battling the adorable little critters.
Amazon is currently offering Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee for $30 as part of the Prime Day sale. Naturally, this means you’ll need to have Amazon Prime membership to take advantage of the deal. This discount is specifically for the Eevee variant of the game. If you’re really set on getting the Pikachu variant, Amazon has Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu priced at $45, which is a bit more than the Eevee version but you’re still saving about $15 on the usual price.
In GameSpot’s Pokemon: Let’s Go Eevee/Pikachu review, Jake Dekker described the games “delightful reimaginings of the series’ origins and a deep RPG in their own right.” He continued: “It makes a lot of smart improvements on the original Red, Blue, and Yellow while holding on to what made them so special in the first place. Fans of the series might be let down by the lack of features they’ve come to expect, but Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee take the Pokemon formula in some exciting new directions.”
Pokemon fans can look forward to another adventure on Switch later this year. Nintendo has confirmed Pokemon: Sword and Pokemon Shield’s release dates as November 15. Nintendo is also releasing a very cool Pokemon Sword and Shield Switch Lite alongside the game.
